Setting up GPU
There are a few settings that should be set after you installed GPU. You can find most of them here:
After that, you will see something like this:
Application settings
The settings that should be changed are the GPU Thread Priority and the Application Settings. GPU Thread Priority sets how much CPU power it is allowed to use.
Idle: If an other program wants a bit more cpu power, GPU will have less CPU power.
Lowest: The same as Idle, but GPU will get a very little bit of CPU power as default.
Normal: The CPU power is equally shared with other programs.
Highest: GPU will be able to use all the CPU power it needs, but a little bit of CPU power is given to other programs.
Critical: If GPU needs 100% of the CPU power, no other program has any CPU power (not recommended).
In Application settings you can change how GPU will behave.
Run as service at operating system startup: If you check this, GPU will automatically startup when the computer is started. (Will only work in XP/NT).
Run minimized: GPU will automatically minimize when started.
Automatically connect when application launches: Makes GPU connect automatically at the start (Recommended with Run as service or with Run minimized).
Balloon Tips: GPU will show balloon tips when someone logs in or says something in the chat (Not recommended when the computer is used by more people than only you).
Play sound if someone enters the chat: GPU will play a ring tone when someone enters the chat.
If you changed anything, press the Save options button!
Another important setting is at the Advanced tab:
Advanced Settings
The Socks settings enable you to run GPU behind a proxy server.
If you changed anything, press the Save options button!
Changing your name
To change your name, team and country, you should look at the bottom of the window.
Thats all you should have to do and you will be up and running jobs.
